Our article  on the First Amendment and what it means for free speech online, sheds light on what is and what is not guaranteed by the First Amendment in relation to online freedom of speech, file sharing, and anonymity online.

The internet as we know it is nearly 30 years old. Sure, the web is a bit more complicated — and more intricately connected — than it was 30 years ago, but it’s no less of a modern Wild West today than it was in the 90s (although you may need to dig deep into the darknet to experience the real gun-slinging). The freedoms and anonymity  we enjoy online are, however, constantly under scrutiny, by both governments and businesses alike.

Workplace Bullying Is “a Form of Workplace Violence”

Thursday, June 22nd, 2017

Rob Lenin of Business Insurance

“These proportions are epidemic-level,” the report said. “The number of U.S. workers who are affected by bullying — summing over those with direct bullying and witnessing experiences — is 60.3 million, the combined population of six Western states.

Workplace bullying is “a form of workplace violence”  – Gary Namie, Director of the Workplace Bullying Institute.

Dear Gregg, if I may,

We have known each other for quite some time, and I was delighted in my new position to be reminded of your enduring commitments—to students, to great journalism, and to causes that matter in the workplace. I see that you had written the Chancellery about your Moveon.org petition to support the New York State Healthy Workplace Bill, and that you are calling for CUNY to be a “leader in promoting healthy workplaces.”

More about this later.
