Words and pictures. The instructor has been warming up for this assignment also. And two encounters on the subway indicate his reflexes need to be revived.

September 6th, 2009Jones, President Barack Obama’s appointed advisor on “green jobs,” resigned in the wake of incendiary ranting from rabid right-wing news types like Glenn Beck about Jones’ statements regarding Republicans and his signing a 2004 letter suggesting that former President George W. Bush might have knowingly allowed the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks to occur in order to use them to go to war.

In desperation they bite the bullet as the New York Daily News did about the hungry man in Florida.

I’ve been tracking anti-union campaigns from the Right and did a short radio documentary for Making Contact being broadcast this week about the Right’s misinformation campaign to stop labor law reform this year. They are going all out. Unions are a potent reality check. People in unions don’t tend to fall for a lot of the free market mythology about how the world works.
