Q: Want to wrap up?
A: Let me write a wrap-up in a few days (middle of week or so). The curfew ends today, I can start going out to talk to a few people. A lot of ‘experts’ expect this to turn into a series of guerilla attacks , but now there is a very uneasy calm. Also, the Thai government has been arresting foreigners who they say were “outside agitators.” One English bloke is facing a possible death penalty for ‘exhorting’ the crowd to burn down the Central World Mall.

Update: “The fires are still burning in Bangkok, things are pretty brazen; a lot of the crowds seem to support the Reds who slip in and out with impunity, This is civil war, people who are on different sides live in the same block. The elderly and children have gone to the Temples which have been declared sanctuaries by the Thai government, but at night the Red Shirt fighters use the temples has havens.”]
