Because it might be confusing who might be eligible candidates, I will be posting informative anecdotal examples in the coming days and weeks to help those who may want to suggest deserving candidates. Here is the first:
Department Chair Jay Roman, after he was elected to his first term a while back, told me on more than one occasion – when there was the appearance of a collegial relationship and no other Colleague was in the immediate vicinity – that D:F/M was in serious trouble. D:F/M Colleagues, including some who have retired. A new logo is in the works.
A version of the material below was recently sent to full-time Colleagues in the Department of Film and Media Studies, Hunter College, City University of New York, regarding the latest decision by the Senate Grade Appeals Committee to reverse another in a long line of funky decisions by a D:F/M Grade Appeals Committee to give a passing grade to a student whom I flunked for cheating – and clearly deserved it.

As the fall 2014 semester begins, I believed this is a good time for a moment of recollection. The Hunter College Senate this past spring upheld my appeal of a D:F/M Grade Appeals Committee decision to give a passing grade of B to the worst cheating student in all my years of teaching, not just at Hunter but at Rutgers. And LIU, Brooklyn Campus.
