There are really important issues being considered by our elected officials and our news media as to what should get their immediate attention. I believed that the Gazette’s excellent, fact-based news story about the NYS Healthy Workplace Bill will do just that: Generate the attention the bill needs, inspire influential forces to support it.
A year ago news stories about this bill and similar bills in the country generated public interest nationally. More attention is needed. Thanks Legislative Gazette for improving that possibility. Note to your readers: There are Healthy Workplace Bills seriously being considered in Connecticut, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Wishing all those states’ healthy advocates the best, but I hope New York passes its bill first and becomes a model for others in the northeast if not the country.
Sincerely,
Gregg Morris, Assistant Professor
