Poaching, D:F/M Style.
That is, showing off to prospective journalism candidates, who have visited or are to visit, this Colleague’s faculty-supervised publication the WORD – the one that that they have vilified, sneered at, tried to sabotage, tried to censor, to undermine practically from the time it started publishing years ago – as if this was a showcase piece for what D:F/M has to offer its students. D:F/M doesn’t have much if anything to showcase nor offer.*
Or claiming that it’s a department project as Former Colleague Peter Paris told an audience at a James Aronson Awards ceremony a while back when the event attracted reasonably moderate attention (despite its inexorable moribund fate).
