The media attention about the NFL report that backs up Jonathan Martin’s account of the workplace bullying that he experienced is significant and is a vehicle that can be used to bring attention to the efforts being made to pass the Healthy Workplace Bill S3863/A4965, the bill that addresses workplace bullying in New York State.

The NFL report will do a lot of good to show how pervasive workplace bullying is in our employment settings. If you are from New York State and are being bullied or are interested in helping pass legislation to address this issue, please contact us at info@nyhwa.org or on Facebook at facebook.com/groups/nyhwa.

This bill is being championed by Staten Island’s own Senator Diane Savino and Assemblyman Steven Englebright of Long Island.

This is the year to pass the Healthy Workplace Bill in New York State and to tell our state legislators that enough is enough in the NFL and OUR workplaces!

Please call your NYS Senator and Assemblymember during the week of Tuesday thru Friday, Feb 18-21 and let them know about the NFL report and that it is time to pass the NYS Healthy Workplace Bill S3863 / A4965!

You can find the contact information for your Senator and Assemblymember at www.assembly.state.ny.us.

Please also call:

Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver (518) 455-3791 or (212) 312-1420
Senate Co-President Dean Skelos (518) 455-3171 or (516) 766-8383
Senate Co-President Jeffrey Klein (518) 455-3595 or (718) 822-2049
Five quick calls will do so much to help to pass this law!
