“The lesson of Shirley Sherrod’s disgraceful treatment by right-wing and not-so-right-wing media (followed by her equally squalid dismissal by an administration that took that media at face value) boils down to a single question: When will journalists see Andrew Breitbart as the serial promoter of journalistic frauds that he is, rather than as a legitimate source for story ideas?”
[Answer here: Never. They may criticize him. Mock him. Denounce him. But will continue to regard him as a fellow journalist and not a promoter of frauds (rather, possibly, just one who indulges in fraud). And they definitely won’t call him what he really is, a racist. Ann Coulter came to his defense in prime style, saying he was a victim of a fraud. There are more heinous vultures out there than Breitbart, such as Limbaugh & Beck & O’Reilly & Coulter et. al.]
