Twice she has been involved in efforts to censor the WORD, actions that raised issues about Academic Freedom as well as Freedom of the Press as practiced in the Department of Film and Media Studies even as she  portrays herself as a Joan of Arc for Academic Freedom and other liberties regarding the Academy.
