From the July 16 Anderson Cooper CNN 360 show: Criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos, who was not part of Zimmerman’s legal team, said “race determines everything in the criminal justice system.” “Nobody thinks of themselves as a racist, and I’m not accusing anybody of being a racist. What I’m saying is race is the prism through which people see things,” Geragos said.

I headline hunt, using the mainstream news media for breaking news. So, if CNN or the NY Times or ABC, as examples, report a BNE, I go to the local news organization reporting the story. So, I can be “envious” of my students who read Spanish and French and, for the Utøya Massacre, Norwegian.

*Posted: June 14, 2010 11:01 P.M. — I have heard a number of false allegations leveled against President Barack Obama – socialist, communist, illegal immigrant, terrorist sympathizer, etc. Iowa Congressman Steve King (R-Limbaugh/Coulter/Palin) took things to a new level when he said on G. Gordon Liddy’s radio show that “the President has demonstrated that he has a default mechanism in him that breaks down the side of race – on the side that favors the black person.”
